Joanne has a background in animal welfare having worked for the RCPCA, Cats Protection and HAPPA. In order to be an animal physiotherapist she first completed her human physiotherapy degree in 1999. Then gained a varied and solid grounding in all areas on Human Physiotherapy before specialising in the neuromusculoskeletal field and completing her animal physiotherapy training in 2003.
Since then she has built up a large amount of experience in treating cats and dogs and particularly enjoys treating spinal problems and neurological problems in cats. She gets a large amount of satisfaction from calming nervous patients and by empowering people to help their animal companions recover from illness.
Joanne lectures on Veterinary Physiotherapy and teaches clinical skills to Veterinary Physiotherapy students. She has built up an excellent team which offers a breadth and depth of knowledge and experience which enables us to provide a high level of care.
